The Ceremony took place at the Little Fish Cafe, in Port Macquarie, NSW. This lovely, family owned vineyard provided a scenic but intimate venue for a lovely daytime wedding. Stevie handmade most of the decorations herself, including handmade bows, fabric flowers, and the fan wall behind the alter.
Stevie also made all the bouquets and boutonnieres, including her own hand made broach bouquet. It was a small, family affair with roughly 50 guests, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The grape vines were just starting to turn green, and spring was in the air. The music was prepared by the groom, Blake, and was a surprise to Stevie, who heard all of it for the first time during the ceremony.
The reception was also at the Little Fish Cafe. It was a canapés reception, with delicious food prepared by the staff at the venue. The venue provided a selection of its own wines. Stevie handmade most of the decorations, including the center pieces, the wishing well, and the guest book (wooden hearts for each guest to sign). Guests were treated to red velvet cupcakes in lieu of a traditional wedding cake, and a special “candy bar” with a selection of American and Australian lollies was set up near the cake table. Blake prepared all of the music for the reception, an epic playlist of jazz, pop, 60s, 70s, and 80s music, slowly transition into party tunes. The reception went into the night, with hung fairy lights, lanterns, and built in heaters on the veranda adding glow to this magical evening. Guests were each given a parting gift of a heart shaped cookie cutter.
